Kérdéstervezés is the Hungarian term for questionnaire design or survey design. It refers to the systematic process of creating effective questionnaires to gather specific information from a target audience. This process involves careful consideration of the research objectives, the intended respondents, and the most appropriate methods for data collection.

The development of a good questionnaire begins with clearly defining the research questions. What information needs to be collected to achieve the study's goals? Once the objectives are clear, questions are formulated to directly address these objectives. This includes choosing between different question types, such as open-ended questions that allow for detailed responses, and closed-ended questions (e.g., multiple choice, Likert scales, dichotomous questions) that provide structured data.

Kérdéstervezés also involves considerations of question wording to ensure clarity, avoid ambiguity, and prevent bias. Leading questions or those that make assumptions about the respondent are generally avoided. The order of questions is also important, often starting with simpler, more general questions and progressing to more specific or sensitive ones. Pre-testing the questionnaire with a small group of representative individuals is a crucial step to identify any problems with comprehension, flow, or length before the main data collection begins.
