Julkispolitiikka
Julkispolitiikka, or public policy, refers to the deliberate decisions and actions taken by a government and public authorities to address collective problems, allocate resources, regulate behavior, and provide services for citizens. It encompasses laws, budgets, programs, and regulations formulated to influence social and economic development and the well-being of the population. In Finland, as in many democracies, public policy emerges through a process that involves the parliament (eduskunta), the government, ministries, and public agencies, and is implemented by central and local authorities and service providers.
