Javorníky

Javorníky is a mountain range located in the western Carpathian Mountains, straddling the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is part of the broader Outer Western Carpathians and is known for its forested slopes and relatively gentle terrain. The highest peak in the Javorníky is Velký Javorník, reaching an elevation of 1072 meters above sea level. The range forms a natural barrier and watershed between the Vsetínská Bečva river basin in the Czech Republic and the Váh river basin in Slovakia.

The Javorníky are characterized by extensive forests, primarily composed of beech and spruce trees.
