Jarjinungul
Jarjinungul is a nomadic pastoralist community of the Indigenous Australian Aboriginal people, specifically the Arrernte people, residing in the Central Australian region of the Northern Territory. Their traditional land includes the vicinity of Alice Springs, Muckaty Station, and Newrest Station.
Traditionally, Jarjinungul's economy was based on subsistence pastoralism, with their primary sources of livelihood being cattle
The community's language, Arrernte, is a Pama–Nyungan language, specifically a member of the Nganal-branch Arrernte subgroup.
In recognition of their rights to their traditional lands, the Australian Government established the Jarjinungul Community
