Isopressmenetelmät, or isopress methods, refer to a family of manufacturing techniques used to shape materials, particularly metals and plastics, under high pressure. The core principle involves applying uniform pressure to a workpiece enclosed within a die or mold, forcing it to conform to the desired shape. This is often achieved through the use of hydraulic presses, though other pressure-generating mechanisms can also be employed.

These methods are highly versatile and can be used for a wide range of applications, from producing intricate components for the automotive and aerospace industries to forming bulk materials. The high pressures involved allow for precise control over material flow and density, often resulting in parts with superior mechanical properties, such as increased strength and wear resistance. CIP involves applying pressure at room temperature, typically using a liquid medium like water or oil. The choice between CIP and HIP depends on the specific material being processed and the desired outcome.
