Ironspur

Ironspur is a small industrial town in the fictional nation of Ardentia, located in the Northfold region. It developed around iron ore extraction and a spur railway that connected its mines to the regional rail network. The town has an estimated population of about 7,000 residents.

The town sits in a broad valley bounded by granite hills along the Blackwater River, with surrounding forests and former industrial yards. The climate is temperate maritime, with cool winters and mild summers.

Ironspur was founded in the mid-19th century during a regional iron boom. The arrival of a rail spur in 1872 spurred growth as ore was shipped to mills elsewhere. Through the 20th century the town expanded its steelworks, later adapting to fabrication and logistics as demand changed.

Today Ironspur relies on metal fabrication, machinery maintenance, and logistics services. A heritage site around the old foundry attracts visitors, and the town supports basic services including a primary school, a high school campus, and a small clinic.

Notable sites include the Old Foundry Arch, the Ironspur Bridge, and the Ironspur Heritage Museum. The annual Ironspur Fair celebrates local crafts and metalwork.

Ironspur Station on the Northline provides passenger and freight services, while a ring road and regional highways connect the town with neighboring communities.
