Ingestion uses protocols such as MQTT and CoAP; storage relies on time-series databases and data lakes; processing employs streaming engines like Apache Kafka and Flink; analytics tools and machine learning models enable real-time and historical analysis. Edge analytics deploys local inference to reduce bandwidth needs and latency, while cloud and hybrid architectures support broader data collaboration and scalability.
