Inputsensitive refers to a characteristic of a system, component, or process where its behavior or output is directly and significantly influenced by the nature, quantity, or timing of the input it receives. This is a broad concept applicable across various fields.

In computing, an inputsensitive function might exhibit different performance characteristics depending on the size or type of data it processes. For example, a sorting algorithm's runtime is famously inputsensitive, with some algorithms performing much better on already sorted or partially sorted data than on randomly ordered data.
