Ingrda

Ingrda is a fictional sovereign state created for analytic and narrative purposes. It is imagined as located in the temperate belt, with a varied geography that includes a coastal plain, rolling hills, and a central highland. The country contains several islands off its western coast and a major river running from the north to the southern gulf.

Ingrda's modern state emerged after a peaceful transfer of governance in 1929, following a constitutional referendum that established a parliamentary republic. The polity has since operated under a codified constitution that provides for a multiparty system and an independent judiciary.

Executive power is divided between a president, elected for a four-year term, and a prime minister who leads the cabinet. The legislature is a unicameral National Assembly with 68 seats, elected every four years. Local government is organized in seven provinces, each with a degree of devolved authority.

Ingrda maintains a mixed economy with services and manufacturing comprising the largest sectors. Key industries include fisheries, wood products, light manufacturing, and tourism. The currency is the ingran, and the country maintains open trade policies with regional partners. The population is around 5.2 million, with urban centers concentrated in the eastern provinces. Official language is Ingrdan; additional languages are recognized for regional communities.

National culture emphasizes literature, music, and regional crafts. National symbols include a sun and river on the flag and a mountain on the coat of arms. Education is compulsory through age 18, and public health care is universal.
