Imurointipää

Imurointipää, often referred to as a vacuum cleaner head or nozzle, is the primary attachment for a vacuum cleaner responsible for collecting dirt and debris from surfaces. Its design and functionality are crucial for effective cleaning. Various types of imurointipää exist, each tailored for specific cleaning tasks and floor types.

The most common imurointipää is the universal floor head, which typically features a brush roll. The rotating brush roll agitates carpets and rugs, loosening embedded dirt, pet hair, and other particles, which are then drawn into the vacuum's suction path. For hard floors like tile, laminate, or hardwood, the brush roll can often be turned off or retracted to prevent scratching and to ensure efficient collection of finer dust.

Specialized imurointipää include crevice tools, which are narrow and elongated to reach into tight spaces such as between sofa cushions or along baseboards. Upholstery tools are designed with a wider, flatter surface, often with a fabric strip, to gently clean furniture and curtains. Turbo or power brush heads are smaller, often handheld attachments with their own motor-driven brush roll, ideal for stairs, car interiors, or stubborn pet hair on upholstery.

The material and construction of an imurointipää can vary. Most are made of durable plastics, with metal components in the brush roll and internal mechanisms for longevity. The suction port's size and shape, as well as the design of any seals or edges, are engineered to maximize airflow and capture efficiency. Maintenance, such as cleaning the brush roll of tangled hair and debris, is important for optimal performance of the imurointipää.
