Immobilisatsioon
Immobilisatsioon refers to the process of rendering something immobile or fixed. In a medical context, it commonly denotes the restriction of movement of a body part, typically to promote healing or prevent further injury. This can be achieved through various means, such as splints, casts, braces, or surgical procedures. For instance, after a fracture, immobilisatsioon of the affected bone allows the broken ends to mend properly without being disturbed.
