The exact depth and duration parameters vary by brand, but common claims reference submersion at modest depths (often around 1–3 meters) for periods ranging from 30 minutes to an hour, sometimes under specific temperature ranges. Because there is no single industry-wide specification, ImmersionSafe labels should be evaluated against the product’s official documentation and tested certifications.

In practice, devices bearing an ImmersionSafe claim may also carry official IP ratings, such as IP67 or IP68, and the ImmersionSafe label is sometimes presented as an additional assurance for consumer confidence.
