Ilmajousitusjärjestelmät
Ilmajousitusjärjestelmät, commonly known as air suspension, are a type of vehicle suspension that uses compressed air instead of traditional coil springs. This system provides a more comfortable ride and allows for adjustable ride height. The core components include an air compressor, an air reservoir, height sensors, solenoids, and air springs (often called bellows). The compressor draws in ambient air, compresses it, and stores it in the reservoir. When the vehicle's height needs to be adjusted or the ride needs to be softened, the solenoids open, allowing air to flow from the reservoir into or out of the air springs. Height sensors monitor the vehicle's position relative to the road, sending signals to the control unit which then manages the air flow. This allows the system to automatically adjust the ride height for optimal comfort or performance. Many systems also offer manual control for the driver to raise or lower the vehicle for increased ground clearance or a lower center of gravity. Ilmajousitusjärjestelmät are found in a variety of vehicles, from luxury cars and SUVs to heavy-duty trucks and buses, offering benefits in terms of ride quality, load carrying capacity, and handling.
