Hårdpärmsbindning
Hårdpärmsbindning, often referred to as case binding or hardcover binding, is a bookbinding technique characterized by the use of rigid protective covers. The pages of the book are typically sewn together in signatures, which are then glued to a lining material to form a text block. This text block is then attached to the front and back covers. The covers themselves are usually made of thick cardboard, known as binder's board, which is then covered with a variety of materials such as cloth, paper, or leather. This covering material is folded over the edges of the board and glued down, creating a durable and protective enclosure for the book's content.
The construction of a hardback book involves several steps. After the text block is assembled, it is
