Humid subtropical climate, known as humid subtropiske in Danish, is a temperate climate type in the Köppen classification. It is characterized by hot, humid summers and mild to cool winters. Precipitation occurs throughout the year in many areas, with a tendency toward higher humidity and frequent summer thunderstorms. Some regions with monsoon influence have a dry winter period, which corresponds to the Cwa subcategory, while others have no distinct dry season (Cfa).
