Homothorax
Homothorax is a rare congenital anomaly characterized by the presence of pleural effusion, a significant amount of fluid accumulation in the pleural space, in the absence of any identifiable underlying cause such as heart failure, infection, or malignancy. This condition is typically diagnosed in neonates and infants and is believed to result from impaired lymphatic drainage from the pleural space.
