It focuses on ensuring that the system's goals, critical interfaces, and overall design meet the intended outcomes before proceeding to more detailed design and testing.

Origin and usage: The term is encountered primarily in Swedish and Norwegian technical literature and internal standards. H-nivå may denote high-level requirements, system-level safety goals, or architectural constraints. Because terminology is not universally standardized, organizations may use alternative phrases such as high-level verification or top-level validation.

Approach: Hnivåverifiering typically involves establishing a verification plan that links high-level requirements to verification activities, performing architecture and interface reviews, conducting modeling and simulations, and delivering evidence in a verification report. It emphasizes traceability, risk assessment, and stakeholder sign-off rather than low-level unit tests.
