Highland dress refers to traditional Scottish clothing associated primarily with the Highlands and Gaelic culture. Highland dress often includes a range of accessories such as sporrans (pouches worn at the waist), waistcoats, jackets, and hose or socks, often with flashes or garters.

In addition to the kilt, other elements such as the sgian dubh (a small dagger tucked into the sock), bonnet or Glengarry hat, and sporran contribute to the full traditional look.
