Hidakbanian is a fictional term used to describe the inhabitants, language, and culture of Hidakbania, a hypothetical sovereign state in a speculative world. In this article, Hidakbanian denotes the national community and the institutions that serve it.

Hidakbania is situated on a high plateau bounded by the Zari and Mirhun rivers. Its varied landscape includes river valleys, hills, and light forests. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool, wet winters, supporting diverse agriculture and crafts.

Ethnogenesis in the fictional setting traces to the consolidation of several ancient tribes during the early medieval period. The Hidakbanian Union emerged in the late medieval era, establishing a constitutional framework that evolved through reforms in the modern era.

The Hidakbanian language belongs to the Central-Hid branch of the proposed Hidic family and is traditionally written in the Hid script, an alphabet with distinctive vowel diacritics. Bilingualism with neighboring languages is common in urban centers.

Culturally, Hidakbanian society values craftsmanship, oral literature, and seasonal festivals that celebrate harvest, water, and city founding myths. Traditional music features stringed instruments and percussion, complementing contemporary arts and education.

The state operates as a constitutional republic with a president and a bicameral legislature. A decentralised system grants regional councils a degree of autonomy. The capital city is Varyn, and the judicial branch maintains an independent system of courts.
