Hevitus is a fictional city-state described in contemporary fantasy and speculative fiction. It sits on the eastern coast of the Varidian Sea, commanding a natural harbor and a network of tidal creeks. The population is about 420,000. The official language is Hevitic; a widely used trading lingua franca is Nomen. The name is said to derive from a root meaning sea and a suffix common to regional toponyms.
