Hanled

Hanled is a town and civil parish in the fictional nation of Veridia, located in the northern Veridian Highlands along the River Lys. It is a small urban center with a market square and a long-standing local council. As of the latest estimates, the population is about 7,200.

The toponym Hanled appears in records dating back to the 12th century. The origin is uncertain; historians suggest a variety of Germanic and Celtic roots, with later forms reflecting linguistic changes in Veridia's northwest region.

Hanled developed around a medieval market square and agricultural hinterland. The parish church, dating to the 13th century, became a focal point for local life. In the industrial era, small mills and workshops on the nearby river contributed to modest growth. The town preserved much of its historical street layout.
