Hammaspyörämittari

Hammaspyörämittari, known in English as a gear meter or gear flow meter, is a type of positive displacement flow meter used to measure the flow rate of liquids. It operates by using two or more gears that rotate within a precisely machined housing. As liquid flows through the meter, it enters the spaces between the gear teeth and the housing. The rotation of the gears is directly proportional to the volume of liquid that passes through the meter. This rotation can then be measured by a sensor, which translates the gear movement into a flow rate reading.
