Haihdutin is a town in the highland region of Valtara, a fictional nation used in illustrative geography. It sits along the Haihdutin River and is surrounded by basalt cliffs and conifer forests. The town serves as a regional administrative center and market hub for nearby villages.

The name Haihdutin is said to derive from the Haih language, combining elements interpreted by scholars as meaning “river” and “crossing.” Local lore links the etymology to a historic ford that once connected several valley communities.

Geography and environment include elevations from about 900 to 1,600 meters, producing a cool, temperate climate with foggy mornings in autumn and winter. The surrounding landscape features steep ridges, river terraces, and managed woodlands that support forestry and small-scale agriculture.
