HRIA

Human Rights Impact Assessment, often abbreviated as HRIA, is a systematic process used to identify, analyze, and evaluate the potential human rights impacts of proposed projects, policies, or legal measures. The goal of an HRIA is to proactively prevent or mitigate adverse human rights consequences and to promote positive human rights outcomes. It involves understanding how a specific action might affect individuals and groups, particularly vulnerable populations, in relation to their internationally recognized human rights.
