Gremio

Gremio (grêmio) is a Portuguese term used to denote a formal association of people who share a common profession, trade, or interest, such as a guild, fraternity, or mutual-aid society. The word is used in both Iberian Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese to refer to organized groups within communities, industries, or institutions. In Brazil, grêmios are commonly found in schools and universities as student bodies that organize events, represent student interests, and coordinate activities.
