GenreGruppe is a Berlin-based interdisciplinary music and art collective dedicated to cross-genre collaboration. Since its formation in the early 2010s, the group has combined electronic production, jazz-influenced improvisation, and experimental rock with live visuals and performance art. History: GenreGruppe was founded in 2010 by composer Jonas Krämer, producer Mina Hartmann, and vocalist Lea Sommer. They began as a loose collective performing in small venues and galleries, developing a modular approach to collaboration. The group released its debut album Kaleidoskop in 2013 on the Nebelmusik label, followed by a series of EPs and live recordings that expanded their sonic palette.

Activities and style: Performances fuse live electronics, acoustic instrumentation, field recordings, and generative visuals. They tour across Germany and Europe, curate a quarterly series of intimate concerts, and operate a small imprint for released works.
