Galé

Galé is a civil parish (freguesia) in the municipality of Albufeira, in the Faro District of the Algarve region in southern Portugal. It is situated along the Atlantic coast, northeast of Albufeira town, and includes part of the coastal strip that is known for its long sandy beaches and dune systems.

The parish is anchored by Praia da Galé, a popular beach destination with golden sands and facilities that cater to visitors and locals. The coastline features a mix of residential areas and tourism-related development, with a landscape of dunes, cliffs in some sections, and promenades that link beach areas to nearby towns and villages. Galé is connected to regional road networks that provide access to the A22 motorway and to neighbouring areas such as Guia and Albufeira.
