GWASAnsätze refers to Genome-Wide Association Study approaches, which are statistical methods used to identify genetic variants associated with specific traits or diseases. These studies examine genetic variation across the entire genome in a large number of individuals to find correlations between certain genetic markers, typically single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), and observable characteristics or health conditions. The fundamental principle is to compare the frequencies of these genetic variants in groups of individuals who have a particular trait or disease versus those who do not.

The process typically begins with genotyping a large cohort of individuals, generating millions of data points for common genetic variants.
