GRECE
GREECE is a French think tank commonly associated with the Nouvelle Droite, though not a political party. GRECE stands for Groupe de Recherche et d'Études sur la Civilisation Européenne, and it emerged in the late 1960s in Paris as a circle of philosophers, writers, and scholars centered on Alain de Benoist. Its stated aim is to study and promote what its members consider the European civilizational heritage and to propose a cultural and political project alternative to liberal democracy and universalism. A core element of its intellectual program is ethnopluralism, the view that distinct civilizations should exist separately rather than be merged.
The organization operates as a network rather than a formal party structure. It conducts conferences and seminars,
Notable figures associated with GRECE include Alain de Benoist and, in its early years, Dominique Venner. The
