Fékmechanizmus

Fékmechanizmus refers to the mechanical system within a braking apparatus that enables a vehicle or object to slow down or stop. This mechanism is a critical safety component in virtually all forms of transportation and many industrial applications. The primary function of a fékmechanizmus is to convert kinetic energy into another form of energy, most commonly heat, through friction.

The specific design of a fékmechanizmus can vary widely depending on its application. Common types include disc brakes and drum brakes. In a disc brake system, a rotor rotates with the wheel, and brake pads are pressed against the rotor's surface by a caliper. This friction generates heat and slows the wheel.
