Funktechnikerinnen are female professionals in radio technology and communications. They work with planning, installation, operation, and maintenance of radio equipment and networks, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and base stations, as well as measurement devices used for testing and tuning. Their work supports broadcasting, mobile and fixed telecommunications networks, radar, satellite links, and related infrastructure. They may perform field service, system commissioning, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and optimization, and are responsible for safety and regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
