Fosforipigmenttejä

Fosforipigmenttejä, often translated as phosphorescent pigments, are materials that absorb energy from an external source, typically light, and then re-emit that energy as visible light over a period of time. This phenomenon is known as phosphorescence, which is distinct from fluorescence. While fluorescence occurs almost instantaneously, phosphorescence involves a delayed emission of light, causing the material to glow in the dark after the initial excitation source is removed.
