Foreignadapted

Foreignadapted is a compound term used to describe content, products, or organisms that have been modified to suit foreign contexts or environments. The term is not widely standardized and appears primarily in industry glossaries, marketing materials, and some scientific discussions as a descriptive rather than a formal label.

In publishing, a foreign-adapted edition refers to a book or periodical that has been translated and culturally localized for a foreign market. This can involve changes to names, cultural references, and material to comply with local laws and sensibilities, in addition to linguistic translation.

In media and entertainment, the term may describe works produced or adapted specifically for audiences in other countries, or versions of a work that have been rewritten to fit foreign cultural norms.
