Flügelmanometer
A Flügelmanometer is a mechanical pressure-measuring instrument that uses a pivoted vane or "wing" element to indicate pressure or differential pressure. The device converts a fluid pressure force acting on the vane into a rotary or linear displacement, which is mechanically linked to an indicator scale. The name derives from the German words for "wing" (Flügel) and "manometer" (pressure gauge).
Construction and operation are generally simple: a lightweight vane is mounted on a shaft within a chamber
Flügelmanometers are used where low-cost, robust, and direct mechanical indication of low pressures or small pressure
Maintenance typically involves periodic inspection, cleaning of the vane and bearings, and calibration against a reference
