The concept refers to the transition of a fluid from a liquid state to a gaseous state, specifically the conversion of liquid coolant into air or another gas through evaporation or boiling. This process is often leveraged in thermal management applications to dissipate heat efficiently.

In electronic cooling, fluidtoair systems are employed to regulate the temperature of high-power components such as CPUs, GPUs, and servers. These systems typically involve a liquid coolant, such as water or a specialized coolant mixture, which absorbs heat from the device.
