Ferroelast
Ferroelast is a hypothetical material possessing both ferromagnetic and ferroelastic properties. Ferromagnetism is the property of a material that is strongly attracted to magnets and can be magnetized itself. Ferroelasticity is a property where a material undergoes spontaneous, irreversible deformation when subjected to stress, and this deformation can be reset by applying a magnetic field. In essence, a ferroelast would exhibit a strong magnetic response and also deform plastically under mechanical stress in a way that is controllable by magnetic fields.
The concept of ferroelast is primarily theoretical and has been explored in scientific literature and research.
