Some registries also link related incidents, reference relevant documents, or capture evidence such as screenshots or logs.

Processes and lifecycle are central to felregister use. Common steps include reporting or detection, triage and prioritization, investigation and containment, implementation of corrective actions, verification of effectiveness, and formal closure. Many organizations integrate felregisters into broader governance frameworks like corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), risk management, and compliance programs.
