FIASCCA

FIASCCA is an acronym that stands for the Federation of International Associated Softball and Baseball Confederation. It was an international governing body for softball and baseball. FIASCCA was formed in 1969 through the merger of the International Softball Federation (ISF) and the Amateur Baseball Federation (ABA). The organization's primary mission was to promote and develop softball and baseball globally, overseeing international competitions and establishing standardized rules for both sports.

Over its operational period, FIASCCA played a significant role in the growth of softball and baseball worldwide, including their inclusion in various international multi-sport events. However, organizational and administrative challenges eventually led to its dissolution. In 2013, FIASCCA merged with the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) to form the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). This unification aimed to create a single, stronger governing body to represent both sports on the international stage and to streamline efforts in promoting and developing baseball and softball. The establishment of the WBSC marked the end of FIASCCA's independent existence.
