FBWjärjestelmä, which translates to Fly-by-Wire system in English, is an aircraft control system that replaces conventional mechanical linkages with electronic signals. In a traditional aircraft, control surfaces like ailerons, elevators, and rudder are moved by physically connecting the pilot's controls to them via cables, pulleys, and pushrods. An FBWjärjestelmä utilizes computers to process pilot input from the controls, such as a joystick or sidestick, and then sends electrical signals to actuators that move the control surfaces.
