Similarly, consumers can listen for events they are interested in without needing to know who is generating them. This loose coupling promotes flexibility and scalability within an application. Components can be added or removed without affecting others, as long as they adhere to the event communication protocol.

Common implementations of this pattern often involve a central event manager or dispatcher. This entity is responsible for receiving published events and routing them to all registered subscribers. The event types themselves can be simple strings, complex objects, or predefined enumerations, depending on the system's design. This pattern is frequently employed in asynchronous programming models, event-driven architectures, and microservices to facilitate inter-component communication and enhance responsiveness.
