Europalette

Europalette, commonly referred to as the Euro pallet, is a standardized wooden pallet used throughout Europe for the handling, storage, and transport of goods. It is the most widely used pallet type in European logistics and is designed to be compatible with standard handling equipment, enabling intermodal movement across warehouses, trucks, ships, and rail.

The standard size of the Europalette is 800 by 1200 millimeters. It is typically around 144 millimeters

Standardization and quality control are overseen by the European Pallet Association (EPAL). EPAL sets the specifications

Performance characteristics typically include a dynamic load rating in the range of about 1,000 to 1,500 kilograms

History and usage: the Euro pallet emerged as part of postwar efforts to standardize logistics in Europe.
