Enoden

Enoshima Electric Railway, commonly known as Enoden, is a private railway company in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The railway operates a coastal line that connects Kamakura and Fujisawa, with a spur that serves Enoshima Island, serving both local residents and tourists.

The line runs along the Shonan coastline and is known for its scenic views of the sea and surrounding towns. The main line links Kamakura with Fujisawa, where it intersects with other rail networks, while a branch provides access to Enoshima Station on the island. The route passes through historic Kamakura area and through seaside communities, making it popular with visitors as well as commuters.

Rolling stock on the Enoden consists of electric multiple unit trains in various generations. The fleet includes both older, heritage-style units and more modern trains, all designed to handle daily passenger demand and the seasonal surge in tourism.
