Endokrinologian

Endokrinologian, the Finnish term for endocrinology, is the branch of medicine that studies the endocrine system, hormones, and related disorders. The specialty focuses on glands such as the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, pancreas, ovaries, testes, and parathyroid, and on bodily processes including metabolism, growth, reproduction, and stress responses.

Endocrinologists diagnose and treat conditions like diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease (hypo‑ and hyperthyroidism), adrenal insufficiency, growth disorders, infertility, osteoporosis, and hormonal cancers.
