Elektrofiilinä

Elektrofiilinä is a Finnish term that translates to "electrophile" in English. In chemistry, an electrophile is a chemical species that is attracted to or reacts with electron-rich centers. The name itself, "elektrofiilinä," reflects this nature, combining "elektro" (electro) and "fiilinä" (lover, from the Greek word philein meaning to love).

Electrophiles are typically electron-deficient and seek out areas of high electron density, such as pi bonds or lone pairs of electrons in other molecules.
