Eesmärkkohta

Eesmärkkohta is an Estonian expression meaning about the objective or with regard to the aim. It is formed from the noun eesmärk (objective, goal) and the postposition kohta (about, concerning). The expression is used primarily in formal writing to designate the topic of discussion or the focus of a section in a document.

In usage, eesmärkkohta introduces what is being discussed about the objective in a sentence or a section. It is commonly found in plans, reports, meeting minutes, and other official texts. The form can function as a topic marker, similar to phrases such as eesmärgi kohta or seoses eesmärgiga, but eesmärkkohta is especially common in compact, formal or administrative phrasing. Notes on style and register: the tone is formal, and in everyday speech speakers typically use eesmärgi kohta or lihtsalt kohta after a noun rather than the compound eesmärkkohta.
