ETSI, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, is a European standardization organization that develops globally relevant information and communications technology (ICT) standards. Established in 1988 by the CEPT (European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations) and now recognized by the European Union as a standardization body, ETSI coordinates the work of national standards bodies, industry players, and research organizations across Europe and beyond.
