EPALs

EPALs, or Electronic Product Code Information Services, are a global network of databases that provide real-time visibility into the movement and status of goods throughout the supply chain. Developed by GS1, a global standards organization, EPALs serve as a standardized platform for sharing critical supply chain information, including product details, shipment tracking, and inventory levels. This technology enhances transparency, efficiency, and collaboration among businesses, logistics providers, and regulatory agencies.

The core functionality of EPALs lies in its ability to link physical products to digital data via unique identifiers such as GS1 Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) or Serial Shipping Container Codes (SSCCs).
