Dualcoil
Dualcoil is a term used to describe a heating element arrangement consisting of two individual coils designed to heat a single load. In many contexts, notably in vaping devices, dual coils are mounted in close proximity on a deck and wired to a power source in either series or parallel configurations. In series, the two coils share the supply voltage, resulting in a higher total resistance and typically slower ramp with lower current. In parallel, the effective resistance is reduced, increasing current for faster heat-up but placing higher demand on the power source and battery.
The dualcoil setup is often chosen to increase the available heating surface area, which can enhance vapor
Design considerations for dualcoil systems include wire material (such as Kanthal, stainless steel, or nickel-chromium), gauge
