Drivförmåga

Drivförmåga is a Swedish term used to describe the capacity of a device, mechanism, or system to provide drive or propulsion and thus perform mechanical work. The word is a compound of driv (drive, propulsion) and förmåga (ability). It is used primarily in technical contexts such as automotive engineering, propulsion systems, robotics, and industrial automation.

In engineering and automotive contexts, drivförmåga refers to the ability of a powertrain or drive system to deliver the required torque and power across operating conditions. It depends on the power source, torque characteristics, transmission or gear ratios, drivetrain layout (for example front-, rear-, or all-wheel drive), traction, cooling, and overall efficiency.
