Dongen

Dongen is a town and municipality in the southern Netherlands, located in the province of North Brabant. It sits in a primarily rural part of the Brabantine landscape, between the cities of Tilburg and Breda. The municipality of Dongen covers the town of Dongen and several surrounding hamlets and countryside. It has a population of around 26,000 residents.

Historically, Dongen has medieval origins and developed as an agricultural community. The built environment reflects a typical Brabantine town with a small historic centre focused on a church and a few civic buildings, surrounded by farmland and small forested areas.
